Details Galore: Drops, Updates, Stockists + More

by Erica Anderson

Hi Everyone!

I’m writing to you from the back of our candle studio where I hunker down to do my tech work. All around me, the TNS production team is hard at work mixing and packing thousands of hand-poured candles for all of you. It’s so cool to watch these candles get made and to know they’ll soon be in your homes. So as I’m back here, I figure it was as good a time as any to fill you in on a few notable updates.

Without further ado… let’s start with a win, which is thanks to all of you.

  1. THIS IS OUR BIGGEST YEAR OF CANDLE-MAKING AND SELLING YET. We are so grateful and excited. (Also, scared? But as an entrepreneur I’m pretty sure that's part of the journey. 😝) Building TNS alongside Ingrid is a dream job because we get to create something from scratch. I’m so inspired by her mission to expand the range of stories that get told through scent, and by blending her life experience, imagination and artistry, it’s happening. The perfect example of this is DREAMGIRL, a scent that reclaims young love and imagines it through an out, queer lens, which has now become our all-time best seller.

  2. SEVEN DROPS ARE COMING THIS FALL/HOLIDAY, PLUS AN UPDATE TO THE DISCOVERY SET.
Ingrid has been hard at work on new olfactive creations, and the result includes three new scents. The first, Girl in a Sweater, arrives next week (9/20) and the rest will come in quick succession,  interspersed with the All-Star line up of Harvest Table, Witching Hour, California Christmas and Only in New York. To make sure you get in on the drops,  sign up for email/text. Also of note: we just relaunched the Discovery Set - it includes two more scents to try and an update to the recyclable packaging that has more color. I love it.

  3. FINALLY, I CREATED A STOCKIST LIST.  🙃
You’ve been asking for a list of stockists, so without further ado, I did it! As I put this list together, I became inspired by the organic, creative network of stores who are drawn to our product. The list includes vintage shops, bookstores, indie home goods boutiques, florists, upcycled jewelers and more. Check it out, and if you have store owner friends, share this link.

Alright, friends. That's about it. If you’re in NYC, come see us at Artists & Fleas Williamsburg the weekends of 9/9 and 9/16. We will have all the candles, plus some samples of what’s to come.

Until next time ✌🏼
